Dilophosaurus

Initially named Megalosaurus weatherilli

Figured out during prep had two crests, thus the name

A plaque mount was made

Then another

This at MNA appears to be cast from original material of which there is a lot

This cast is from Sinosaurus sinensis, once called Dilopho sinensis, the Chinese Dilopho. I have a cast.

This cast seems to be the one used in the traveling JP exhibit. Note the differences in the two scapulae.

Being the best known/least known theropod, 2020 a pub finally came out on material, but was lots of new elements.

Perhaps we'll see a cast?  I'd love to be part of that project..
